Apprenticeships at GEM

Once again working in partnership with our local college Oaklands, Gem Cable Solutions are delighted to announce our second year of involvement with the Apprentice Programme offering young people aged 16-24 the opportunity to gain recognised qualifications in IT. Our apprentices also benefit from the programme’s broader focus on Key Skills and Business Skills including Professionalism and Customer Care, Employee Rights and Responsibilities, Developing Own Effectiveness and Health & Safety Awareness. This year’s apprentice is Lloyd Turner.

When asked about his time at Gem, Lloyd said “Being an apprentice at Gem Cable Solutions is a great way to gain invaluable experience of business and to see how a company is run. I’m working alongside a wide range of other departments within the company and I’m gaining a great amount of business knowledge.“
